About Our Church

OUR NAME

Immanuel, which means "God with us" from the Hebrew, is the good news of the gospel that we, as a congregation, whole-heartedly rejoice in by God's grace. In Isaiah 7:14, God the Father reveals that his virgin-born Son will be called Immanuel.

OUR PASTOR

Rev. John A. Bouwers was ordained to the Ministry of the Word and sacraments in the Immanuel congregation on June 6, 1992. He is a graduate of Mid-America Reformed Seminary, where he received his Master of Divinity degree.
